All structures such as buildings, bridges, highway pavements etc. eventually transmit their loads into the ground, and the ground that supports these structures are generally composed of complex conglomerations of discrete particles, in compact arrays of varying shapes and orientations. These may range in magnitude from the microscopic elements of clay to the macroscopic boulders of a rock fill which may or may not be adequate to support the loads imposed on it.

Comptran’s Geotechnical team has the capability to undertake all sorts of ground investigations and can advise client as to whether a given soil is suitable for a particular project or must be re-engineered to suit the project.
